Role: Senior MEP / Smart Building Project Engineer

I supported the delivery of Westend Duo, a 96-meter-high twin office tower in Frankfurt, Germany, comprising 26 upper floors of offices, bank facilities, gym, and restaurants, plus four basement levels. The property, developed by HOCHTIEF Projektentwicklung and designed by KSP Engel und Zimmermann Architekten, features shimmering façade textures, floor-to-ceiling windows, geothermal heating, and smart integrated building systems.
Our scope included site supervision of MEP subcontractors and coordination of project execution on site, ensuring compliance with design, operational, and maintenance standards. Responsibilities covered contractual advisory, risk and claim management, and quality assurance, verifying workmanship and installation for HVAC, PUH, fire-fighting, fire alarm, ELV systems, and all smart building components.
A strong emphasis was placed on smart building integration, including lighting control, motion detectors, HVAC, shading/jalousie control, access, and safety monitoring across all office floors. I also led functional performance tests, performance monitoring, and MEP commissioning activities, ensuring that all systems operated efficiently, safely, and in line with design intent.
Finally, I oversaw project closure and handover processes with local authorities and stakeholders, guaranteeing full compliance with regulations, operational readiness, and client satisfaction.
